Between land and sea, Camping Village de la Guyonnière enjoys a prime location in the heart of the Vendée, nestled in a preserved natural setting ideal for active family holidays. The surrounding area offers countless opportunities: walks around Lac du Jaunay, hiking, mountain biking, water activities, leisure parks, and board sports on the Atlantic Ocean.
Whether you enjoy gentle sports, are passionate about outdoor activities, or are looking for ideas to share active moments with your children, the Vendée offers an exceptional playground.


Just 300 metres from the campsite, Lac du Jaunay is accessible on foot. Stretching over 8 kilometres, it is lined with numerous paths. Ideal for a healthy stroll in a calm and restful environment, it is also a popular spot for hikers. Several loops ranging from 1.5 to 25 kilometres are marked around the lake. For the more athletic, it is possible to run around the lake. And to motivate the younger ones, 8 geocaching routes are offered by the Tourist Office.

Water activities on Lac du Jaunay
It is also possible to enjoy several sports activities on the lake: pedalo, canoe, paddle. Several bases offer boat rentals to navigate the lake:
- Cano’Evasion - La Servantière
- Les Canoës du Jaunay - La Baudrière
You can also bring your own equipment (canoe, kayak, SUP, sail) and use the slipway at La Baudrière.
Finally, fishing is a key activity at Lac du Jaunay. Pike, Zander, Rudd, Carp, Tench, Bream, and Perch are all present. Fishing permits are available for sale at the campsite reception. Don't forget to bring your gear!
Cycling and Mountain Biking at Village de la Guyonnière
Bike rental at the campsite Want to explore the surroundings by bike? You can rent bicycles, electric bikes (E-bikes), and mountain bikes (MTB) at the campsite. Our technician will provide advice to find the right size bike for the whole family and the ideal route. Ride along the shores of the Jaunay on a mountain bike, join the cycle paths that lead to the Ocean, or simply enjoy a family ride through the surrounding countryside.


Cycle paths and routes
From the campsite, reach the ocean by following the Vendée Vélo route. This cycle path passes between the campsite and Lac du Jaunay, making it easy to join the itinerary. It takes about an hour (approximately 15 kilometres) to reach the ocean. You can stop at the Parée beach or the Normandelière beach, or continue along the coast north towards Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie or south towards Les Sables-d’Olonne.Our recommendation: once you arrive at Bretignolles-sur-mer, follow the Normandelière beach and stop for a crêpe with an ocean view!
Group mountain bike outings
On the campsite's entertainment programme: mountain bike outings. On Wednesdays and Fridays, the Guyo Running & Cycling Club takes you on a group mountain bike ride.
- Wednesday: 25 km ride accessible to beginners, around Lac du Gué Gorand.
- Friday: 34 km ride around the lake for intermediate or advanced levels.
Meet at 9 am at the bike hut, next to the campsite grocery store. Come with your own bike or borrow a mountain bike directly from the campsite!

By car: the nearest car access to Lac du Jaunay is the La Baudrière car park. From the campsite, turn left towards Saint-Julien-des-Landes, then turn left towards the La Bretonnière campsite. Turn left again and follow the signs to the La Baudrière area.

To rent a bike, go to the bike rental hut located next to the campsite grocery store. Our technician will help you choose the bike that fits your size and activity. You can rent your bike for a half-day or a full day. Beyond that, packages are available for several days or even a week. You can also rent a bike for the entire duration of your stay.
