It’s now part of the morning routine—every day, your daughter brings leftover stale bread to her four-legged friends. But she knows to save some for the ponies too! This morning, you take a walk up to La Colline, the area of the campsite where the pony club is located. With wide eyes and a beaming smile, your daughter instantly falls in love with Cannelle, a sweet little pony just her size.

Her love for horses is more than just a hobby—it’s a passion. Her summer reading? Miracle at the Pony Club. That book follows her everywhere, even to the campsite restaurant—despite your requests to put it away before eating. But how could you be mad? You love seeing her so fascinated by a world that once enchanted you too. What she doesn’t know yet is that you’ve planned a special surprise…
This afternoon, you’ve booked a pony ride for her. Bursting with excitement, she puts on her trainers and rushes to the pony club faster than ever. The instructor tells her she’ll be riding Cannelle and explains that safety first—helmet on! Once she’s ready, it’s time to prepare Cannelle.
You show her how to gently brush her pony’s round belly and how to secure the saddle on her back. With a little help, your daughter climbs into the saddle, and the ride begins.
A peaceful walk through the campsite
You take the lead rope and guide Cannelle through the campground paths and shady walking trails. Along the way, you pause to let Cannelle graze, taking the perfect opportunity to snap a photo of your daughter’s radiant smile on her pony. Eventually, it’s time to return Cannelle to her herd.
Sweet dreams, little one…
It’s been a day full of emotions, and your daughter can’t wait to tell her friends all about her pony adventure. No doubt, tonight, she’ll dream of riding Cannelle again. Before heading to bed, you take one last trip to the horse enclosure for a final goodnight pat. As the sun sets over the tall grass, the golden light creates a magical scene, straight out of a fairy tale.
