Come to the Vendée and enjoy cycling or mountain biking
The region is very suitable for cycling for both advanced cyclists and families with young children. There is a nice route for everyone.
In the Vendée, you will find more than 1100 kilometres of cycle paths to explore. For example, cycle to the sea from the campsite. Make a nice trip through the countryside and end on the beach of La Plage Des Dunes in Bretignolles sur Mer.
Discover the Vendée by bike
There are several routes that you can follow to get to some of the beautiful sights in the Vendée. But thanks to the well-developed cycling routes and clear signposting. Breathe in the fresh air as you cycle through the Vendée bocage, the charming villages of our region, the salt marshes, along the Vendée coast… For example, visit one of the Vendée islands or cycle along the salt marshes.
Prepare your cycling trip on the website vendeevelo.vendee.fr. Here, all cycling routes in the area are elaborated.
Cycle from coastal town to coastal town through beautiful landscapes. For the most part, the landscape is flat so you do not have to be a very sporty person to enjoy a great bike trip.

Enjoy the terrace and solarium
Cycling from Camping Village de La Guyonnière
Several mountain bike trails of different lengths pass by our campsite! You can find details of the routes (in PDF and GPX format) on the website of the tourist office of Les Achards:
- Sentier de la Guyonnière – 3 km
- Sentier du Pré – 4 km
- Sentier du Lac – 7 km
- Sentier entre Rives et Hauteurs – 20 km
- Vallée du Jaunay, 12, 25, 40 or 58 km
And you can also join the campsite group! In July and August we organise a weekly cycle tour and a mountain bike tour from the campsite. This way you can explore the surroundings on a bike with several people and with guidance. The schedule looks as follows:
- 1x per week 32 kilometres of mountain biking
- 1x per week 50 kilometres road cycling
If you don’t have your own bike with you, that’s no problem. Bikes and mountain bikes can be rented at the campsite. If you want to join the mountain bike tour, you can even rent a mountain bike, water bottle and helmet at the bike rental chalet. So you are fully prepared!
